How I traveled to here…

I honestly do not remember a time when I had no access to a camera & the associated bits, beginning with a Kodak Brownie box camera in the ’50’s. Remember 620 roll film?

Growing up in my father’s (& his partners) printing business in the ’50’s & ’60’s in San Francisco and later Anaheim, CA, I had access to all things photographic from a very early age. As a young boy, many hours were spent on Saturday mornings “souping negs” in the darkrooms at the shop (A California child labor law violation?). My curiosity, interest, & passion were piqued.

For several years during the recently past century, I was employed by Adobe Systems. It was during those years that the migration from film to digital imagery in the marketplace transpired. The timing could not have been better…

During the years Mrs. H & I lived on St. Croix in the Virgin Islands, we owned & operated a successful fine art photography gallery. My work has been published many times over the years & to the best of my knowledge, remains as part of several collections.
